We pride ourselves on our warm personal approach, and small friendly classes.
With just six children with two teachers for beginner classes* we offer exceptional lessons that encourage correct strokes from an early age and build confident, skillful swimmers. Many of our swimmers move on to join and compete with local clubs – some at county and even national level!
Lessons are based on our unique 10 level class programme, with a rewarding structure of coloured swim caps to denote levels and which generate a feeling of belonging which we warmly encourage. We are proud to know every child and their individual needs, and to monitor and care about their progress throughout the time they are with us.
All our classes follow the STA International Learn to Swim Program and awards scheme. Beginner classes are taught in a caring manner, where fun structured practises build confidence and a feel for the water. Classes move on to develop techniques in all aquatic skills, including diving, personal survival and stamina. Higher classes work towards the STA Bronze, Silver and Gold Swimmer Awards, where we are also pleased to support the Duke of Edinburgh Awards for young people.
As parents and a family run business, we understand how budgets can be stretched, and aim to keep lessons as affordable as possible with competitive rates. And knowing your time is also valuable, we always try to place sibling’s classes together.
Our highly experienced team of teachers are all ASA or STA qualified, with lifesaving qualifications, CRB clearance and with IOS membership. Many also have a background in competitive swimming.
For those that want to take their swimming beyond lessons, we are very pleased to encourage our swimmers to consider the exciting world of competitive swimming by joining Chislehurst Millennium Swim Squads.
