Offering very good facilities, with large changing rooms and showers, this 25m, six-lane pool, with a depth 0.9m to 3m, is suitable for all abilities. While some young children may be out of their depth, the high teacher/pupil ratio of 1:3 ensures there’s no disadvantage – often it’s quite the contrary! For more advanced swimmers, the pool benefits from diving blocks and pace clock, and the 3m depth is ideal for both racing and high-board style diving skills.
This is a small teaching pool of 10m x 5m, with a depth of 0.75m to 1.05m. It offers basic facilities (no showers and smaller changing rooms), and viewing is through a glass window. It is ideal for non-swimmers through to improver levels (our levels 1-5), with most children remaining within their depth. The teacher ratio in these lessons is 1:6 for beginner classes, and 1:8 for intermediate classes.
